Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until September 17th

Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed until September 17th. CD Projekt Red revealed on Twitter today that, while technically playable from start to finish, Cyberpunk would not be all set for its scheduled release on April 16th. There’s a bit more work to be done polishing the streets of Night City, and the team requires a couple of more months to get it done.

Sorry, Keanu.

CD Projekt plainly have quite lofty aspirations for Cyberpunk 2077, tossing around modest expressions like “masterpiece for this generation.” As it occurs, 3 months wasn’t sufficient time to make those expectations a truth, so they’re purchasing themselves a couple of more.

“Cyberpunk 2077 won’t make the April release window and we’re moving the launch date to September 17th, 2020.

” We are presently at a phase where the game is playable and total, however there’s still work to be done. Night City is huge– full of stories, material and locations to see, however due to the large scale and intricacy of everything, we require more time to finish repairing, polishing and playtesting. We desire Cyberpunk 2077 to be our masterpiece for this generation and delaying launch will provide us the valuable months we require to make the game ideal.”.

When he got his mitts on it at E3 last year,

Our own Matt wasn’t rather as enamoured with Cyberpunk. From what I hear, the hacking’s forming up alright, however the shooting seems like it might utilize a couple of more months of tweaking and tinkering.

Studio head Adam Badowski and co-founder Marchin Iwinski did, a minimum of, pledge to increase the updates on advancement as the release date techniques. In the meantime, I’ve still got a lot of The Witcher 3 to plug through after getting on the Netflix bandwagon. Toss a coin, and all that.
