New Overwatch League skin is a homage to the infamous GOATS meta

There is one word nearly every Overwatch player dislikes to hear: GOATS. The GOATS meta– a technique needing all tanks and therapists– dominated Blizzard Home entertainment’s Overwatch League in2019 A lot people disliked it since it was tiring to view; tanks have a lot of health, and with three therapists, they’re much more husky. There’s a great deal of technique to it, but not always aesthetically intriguing, as characters crash into each other over up until one team outlasts the other.

Teams kept playing it, over and over, until Blizzard stepped in. In July 2019, Blizzard carried out the Overwatch role queue, which required players into roles: two damage players, two support, and two tanks.

GOATS is gone however always remembered; Blizzard is ensuring of that. Today, the developer exposed a new skin that’ll be launched ahead of the Overwatch League’s Feb. 8 kickoff: GOAT Brigitte.

” To commemorate the Greatest Of All Time,” Blizzard tweeted from the Overwatch League account. “GOAT Brigitte will be offered February 6 to kick-off the start of #OWL2020”

The skin’s in fact pretty great, a riff on Brigitte’s standard armor but with purple and blue tones. It’s decorated with goat information, embedded in her armor and with horns on her head. Blizzard hasn’t stated just how much it’ll cost, though it will likely require Overwatch League Tokens. GOAT Brigitte will only be available from Feb. 6 to19 We’ve connected to Blizzard for pricing information.

Maybe you do not want to relive Overwatch‘s meta headache? The game’s yearly Lunar New Year event started today and introduced a bunch of new skins.

The Overwatch League’s 3rd season starts Feb. 8 in New York City.
