Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 starts filming, new cast announced

Netflix’s adjustment of The Witcher, Andrzej Sapkowski’s dream legend, is getting another season at the streaming service, and filming is now in progress for season2 Netflix has not announced an official release date for season 2 of The Witcher, however the show will return at some point in 2021 and run 8 episodes.

Henry Cavill will repeat his function as Geralt of Rivia, as will Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier.

New to the cast in season 2 are Yasen Atour (Ben-Hur, Young Wallander) as the witcher Coen, Agnes Bjorn as the bruxa Vereena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders, Dracula Untold) as the witcher Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen (Fast and Furious 9) as the witcher Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Lady) as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones’ Tormund Giantsbane) as Nivellen, and Mecia Simson as Francesca.

Netflix has even more stories of The Witcher coming also, as the streaming business announced that a cartoon animation, The Witcher: Problem of the Wolf, remains in advancement with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and author Beau DeMayo managing the spinoff. Problem of the Wolf does not have a release date.
