Publisher Piko Interactive has revealed that it has actually obtained the rights to O.D.T. (or O.D.T.: Escape … Or Die Attempting as it’s understood in North America). Remarkably, the offer also consists of the rights to the scrapped Nintendo 64 version.

Initially released by Psygnosis, O.D.T. is an action-adventure game that released on PlayStation and Windows back in1998 The game sees a team of travelers triggered on a journey to recuperate an artefact called the Green Pearl after cleaning up in a crash-landed ship. It didn’t review especially well when it released, however a Nintendo 64 port remained in the works for a long time.

2 builds of this N64 release remained in advancement (a North American version and a European version) prior to the concept was ultimately scrapped (thanks, TCRF). Whether Piko Interactive has plans to really bring this dead port back to life isn’t clear right now, however it sure would be intriguing to see an official release after all this time.

Have you played this game on PlayStation? Would you like to see how it would have used N64? Inform us below.

Thanks to Vitas for the idea!
