Netflix’s The Old Guard trailer: Charlize Theron is an immortal assassin

If the news of the Mad Max: Fury Roadway prequel has you getting ready to enjoy Charlize Theron kick ass and take names, then you’re in luck, as The Old Guard, in which she plays an immortal mercenary called Andromache of Scythia, is on its way.

Based on Greg Rucka’s comics and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Beyond the Lights), the movie centers on a group of likewise unkillable mercenaries rounded up by Andromache (or Andy, as she’s now called) who, in the 21 st century, find that keeping their secret safe is more difficult than they ‘d believed. As they fight against an organization that looks for to capitalize of their powers, they concern hire Nile (KiKi Layne) as the latest member of the team.

The trailer shows just how immortal they are, as the team endures a rain of shooting, and an injury on Nile’s arm rapidly recovers. In spite of close call after close call, it appears as though Andy’s description of the 5 of them as an “army” isn’t in fact that far off the mark.

Marwan Kenzari, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Luca Marinelli star as the rest of Andy’s team, with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Harry Melling amongst those pursuing them.

The Old Guard will debut on Netflix on July 10.
