PlayStation has announced a new program, the PlayStation Indies Initiative, which will put a larger spotlight on indie games in the PlayStationecosystem While PlayStation has actually long been understood for its big AAA unique titles, it’s interesting to see them investing in smaller sized and possibly more ingenious games.
According to the head of the program, Shuhei Yoshida, PlayStation Indies Initiative will be bringing at least one new indie title a month to PlayStation Now, the brand name’s month-to-month membership service. The first indie available will be Hi Next-door neighbor, an eccentric first- individual stealth horror game with startlingly original AI mechanics– as you examine your next-door neighbor’s house, the AI of your opponents will gain from you and adjust appropriately. 9 indie titles will be announced today in total.

The PlayStation 5 reveal event already showcased a couple of fascinating indie titles, such as Bugsnax. This is an interesting turn for PlayStation as it wants to even more diversify its games library, and it bodes well for what the PlayStation 5 will allow indie developers to achieve.
