Worms Rumble to bring 32-player PvP to PlayStation and PC

The 25 th anniversary of Worms will be a special one for fans of the franchise. The developer of the series announced that the new installment of the franchise, Worms Rumble, will release in the near future.

On a post for the Playstation Blog site today, Team17 Manufacturer Danny Martin went over what gamers could expect from WormsRumble Martin promoted some of the enhancements and changes that will come to the Worms franchise. One of those changes will be how the worms move, as the characters will now move much faster and roll around at higher speeds. In addition, Worms Rumble will support cross-platform multiplayer action, as players will be able to participate in 32-player online games including players that use either a PC or the PlayStation family of consoles.

Worms Rumble will release with 3 game modes: Deathmatch, Last Worm Standing, and Last Squad Standing. Deathmatch, which Martin promotes as the best game mode for new players, will feature 32 players contending to see which one will pick up the most removals. In Last Worm Standing, 32 players will compete against each other up until one worm isleft The 3rd mode, Last Squad Standing, will approve players the chance to team up with each other. 10 teams that consist of 3 players will face one another up until one team is left standing.

Martin specified that the ability to personalize worms will return to WormsRumble Players will be able to add headwear and face wear, in addition to skins, outfits, and emotes.
