The Medium caught our attention with its dual-reality discussion, in which players can all at once browse the real world and its spirit-world equivalent. The fact that it’s a console exclusive on Xbox Series X/ S and not a generation-straddling game like numerous launch-window titles just added to the anticipation. While it was initially set for a December 10 release, developer Bloober Team has announced that it’s getting pressed back a month into early next year.
The Medium will now be getting here on Xbox Series X/ S and PC on January 28, 2021. While the hold-up is frustrating, it’s hard to argue with the factors behind thedecision Bloober Team released the following declaration:
The hold-up also gets the game far from the blast radius of one of the year’s most prepared for titles, too. Fellow Polish developer CD Projekt RED just recently postponed Cyberpunk 2077 from a prepared November 19 release to December 10. While Bloober Team does not call that freshly loaded date out in its declaration, it’s challenging to envision that it wasn’t at least a contributing element in the decision.
