This was reported last year John Wick: Chapter 4 and chapter 5 were supposed to be filmed back-to-back, but it looks like Lionsgate has changed their approach to the movie franchise.
According to a report by Collider John Wick: Chapter 4 will start shooting in June, but no mention is made chapter 5 starts filming after production wraps up in the previous episode. However, the outlet reports that, unlike the first three films that are primarily set in New York City, Chapter 4 becomes an international affair with the shoot taking place in Berlin and Paris, with additional photography in New York City and Japan.
Earlier this week, Derek Kolstad, who wrote all three before John Wick films, revealed that he will not be returning to write the screenplay John Wick: Chapter 4It is now reported that Mike Finch, previously on the scripts for American murderer Predators Countdown, will be the lead writer with Chad Stahelski returning to direct again.
While plot details are kept a secret, it’s safe to assume that Chapter 4 will possibly pick up after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum with Keanu Reeves’ John Wick seeking revenge on McShane’s Winston and The Adjudicator for teaming up and shooting him repeatedly causing him to fall off the roof at the end of the film.
