Behavior Interactive today released Update 4.6.0 for Dead in daylightWe have all the information about this patch on March 30th.
The Dead by Daylight Update 2.17 can now be downloaded and installed. Today’s update adds a new Killer, a new Survivor, and more.

Characteristics
- Added a new killer – The Trickster
- Added a new Survivor – Yun-Jin Lee
- Party privacy options added – You can now set your party privacy to automatically block join requests from strangers, allow friends to join without approval, etc.
- Added the Chat Filter feature
- Added an error when a user does not add a friend because he has too many friends
Content
The fire blight
- Adjusted its first person animations and camera position to be higher
- Reworked the collision detection for its strength. It should now be consistent with the basic attack obstruction and no longer result in different surfaces slipping.
The Wraith
- Increased his cloaked movement speed
- Decreased his movement speed during detachment
- Decreased the movement speed bonuses of the Windstorm add-on to compensate for the above speed changes
- Removed the movement speed penalties for the Windstorm add-ons
Accessibility
- Color blind modes have been added and can be accessed VIA the Options menu.
Benefits
- Decisive Attack – Now deactivated when performing certain actions that are not part of the killer’s evasion
HUD
- Increased visibility and size of the timer fill with negative status effects.
- Made adjustments to the player status timer bar to be more accurate and added the glow back to indicate when the timer bar is paused or requires attention.
- Improved performance.
Menus
- Updated the accept and cancel buttons on friend and group requests to have a bigger visual difference.
Audio
- The warning and max stingers for Laceration Meter (from Killer’s perspective) have been changed
- Bat swing weakening was reduced for survivors
- The 2D scream on the Mori was fixed
- The Main Event cooldown now has SFX support
- New VO for The Trickster in Chase mode

Bug fixes
- Fixed a crash in the first interaction screen.
- Fixed a crash in the Play as Killer lobby that could occur if you repeatedly pressed the Ready button to cancel the search.
- Fixed an issue that could cause lockers to play loud sound notifications when entering slowly
- Fixed an issue that prevented Killers from falling on the chairs in Ormond’s chalet.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when Victor was used to jump on a survivor while leaving the trial.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Victor to get stuck in the hills unique to the Red Forest maps.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the infected VFX behind the survival icon from completing completely when the survivor was affected by the Broken status effect.
- Fixed an issue that allowed Survivors to stand until they move when knocked down from a deep wound state.
- Fixed an issue that caused Killers and Survivors to float in certain spots on hills in Asylum maps.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Survivor’s health bar to stop flashing when the timer was paused.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Trail of Punishment of the Damned sound effect to continue playing even when no traces were left.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Survivor from staying on the ground after the die status animation occurred
- Fixed an issue where players could spawn in collision (and thus not move) when loading into the Dead Dawg Saloon map
- Fixed an issue that prevented a generator from being repaired from the side of the light pole in Grim Pantry
- Fixed an issue where Survivor’s health bars would not be visually accurate (bar would appear empty before Survivor dies).

- Fixed an issue that caused Victor to hang in mid-air if a Survivor disconnected while Victor was tethered
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Blight’s stampede to hit an invisible collision where a Hatch could later spawn
- Fixed an issue that could cause the camera to break when starting and stopping generator repairs quickly
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Tinkerer perk to trigger when the last generator is complete
- Fixed an issue that caused survivors to become stuck in lockers in network conditions with a lot of packet loss
- Fixed an issue that allowed the killer to completely block access to a specific hook on Disturbed Ward, Lery’s Memorial Institute, and Gideon cards.
Switch only:
- Fixed an issue where selecting an archive movie would briefly play a few frames from the last viewed movie.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when holding both buttons to switch between Survivors in Spectator Mode.
- Fixed an issue where the HUD could show the same buff icon twice
Stages only:
- Fixed an issue where UI prompts were displayed for wrong platform when using keyboard and controller.
PS4 and PS5 only:
- Fixed an issue where if a player using a PS5 invites a player using a PS4, the invitee cannot accept the invite.
Xbox Series X only | S:
- Fixed an issue where the application would crash when accepting an invitation sent to a signed in but inactive account.
Xbox One only:
- Fixed an issue where players who recently played with XB1 can enter a public lobby without asking to join the party
- Fixed an issue where the player could become soft-locked after disconnecting from the Xbox Live profile while in a Play as Survivor lobby.

Stages only:
- Description of The Nightmare’s power states that he can collect 5 Dream Tokens instead of 8.
- The exclusive DLC cosmetics for Chapter 19: All-Kill will not be awarded upon purchase. The cosmetic will be automatically applied to eligible players once this issue is resolved in an upcoming patch.
- (TENTATIVE) Missing chapter name string for DLC banner on in-game Store Featured page.
Windows Store only:
- The game crashes when you revoke permission for the Microsoft Store version of the game
Changes from PTB to Live
The Deceiver:
- When triggering the Main Event, The Trickster will automatically throw Blades
- It is now possible to cancel the main event by pressing the skill button
- Ammo no longer decreases during the Main Event. If The Trickster had 50 Blades when it was triggered, it has 50 Blades when it ends.
- Improved visual feedback for Showstopper’s cooldown after the main event ends
- Added extra statuses to The Trickster’s power icon during the Main Event and in the cooldown after the Main Event.
- Improved readability of the Laceration Meter UI around the Survivor portraits
- Updated the Trick Blades add-on: Blades will now ricochet twice. Ricochet hits give bonus Bloodpoints. Ricochet hits are no longer about double crack.
Benefits:
- Smash Hit: Duration increased to 4 seconds
- Self-preservation: Now also hides pools of blood and grunts of pain
- Starstruck: The exposed effect will now be refreshed every time the Survivor enters your Terror Radius and the effect will last for 26/28/30 seconds after you leave it. Cooldown reduced to 60 seconds
- No Way Out: Now has a base time of 10 seconds, +4/6/8 seconds for each token
The fire blight:
- Updated rush hitbox to be taller and narrower to reduce collisions with objects on the edge of the player’s screen or out of sight
