Dirt 5 Update 4.00 is live - Patch Notes on March 30th

Codemasters today released a new update for DIRTY 5, including the Uproar Content Pack and After Dark Playgrounds Update. On March 30 you will find all the information about this update.

The DIRT 5 Update 4.00 (4.01) is now available for download for all platforms. Unfortunately, we do not know the respective file size. In addition to the new content, there are some improvements and bug fixes.

UPDATE 4.00

Released March 30, 2021 for Xbox, PlayStation, Steam and Windows Store. The update will be added to Stadia at a later date.

CONTENTS AND FUNCTIONS

  • Uproar Content Pack (separate pack, included in Amplified Edition and Year One Upgrade versions
  • After Dark Playgrounds update – 20+ new items available to use in Create mode, including new loop-de-loop
  • Nighttime conditions for playgrounds in Arizona and Italy
  • New official liveries: BMW M1 Procar, SUBARU WRX STI RX Supercar, SUBARU Impreza S4 Rally and MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION VI.
  • Private Lobbies: Online play includes private lobbies option for up to eight players via invitation, with custom options for racing events
  • Verified Creators: Icon added to Playgrounds creations designed by select top designers
  • Added new menu to view profile stats including total mileage driven
  • Steam and Windows Store: Shadows cast from the sun by cars are now ray-traced shadows

TECHNICAL UPDATES

  • Fix for instances of game crashes that occurred when attempting to login to a profile already assigned to another controller / input
  • Scroll stats while waiting for online multiplayer now show the user’s total distance driven in miles, not meters
  • Xbox: Fixed instances of crashes during the ‘Lion’s Head’ Rally Raid Career event
  • Fixed some cases of game blocking / soft lock at the end of the event
  • Fixed mute options for other players in online public events
  • PC: Fixed instances of multiple Fanatec wheels generating throttle and brake inputs when idle
  • Button assignments on multiple Fanatec wheels have been resolved and refined, including the CSW Elite Series and Universal Hub
  • PC: Fixed an issue where using photo mode with a keyboard would cause the camera to move
  • PlayStation: Fix for drop in frame rate notifications when using the Thrustmaster T-150 wheel
  • Playgrounds: Resolved leaderboards not loading incidents causing network error
  • Split screen: Mini map now correctly displays in split screen events
  • Xbox: Fix for shifter pattern on Logitech G920
  • Xbox: Fix for graphics corruption when entering photo mode during an event
  • PC: Resolved instances of driver animations not triggering as designed on some PC configurations and graphics cards

PATCH 4.01

Released for Steam on March 30, 2021 and will be added to Xbox and PlayStation versions in the coming days. Also coming to Stadia at a later date.

TECHNICAL UPDATES

  • PS5: Further fixes and optimizations aimed at improving frame rate performance and consistency
  • Fixed issues where the camera worked erratically during events, after exiting photo mode, or looking behind the car
  • Xbox One: Further Crash Fixes
  • Fix for crashes / soft locks at the end of career events on PS5 and Steam
