With just over 24 hours left before April’s free PlayStation Plus games will be released, there’s only a short window left to download the current batch.

And as luck would have it, the most recent PS Plus games are some of the best and most exciting that Sony has given away in the past six months.

The tech giant is known for giving away great combos, and it’s hard to top some of the earlier months.

But it’s hard to criticize Final Fantasy VII Remake, Maquette, Remnant: From the Ashes, and Farpoint.

Not only are there four games you can download and play on both PS4 and PS5 consoles, but they also include PlayStation VR compatibility.

While FF7 and Remnant are nothing new to Virtual Reality gamers, Farpoint is known as one of the best headset shooters.

“Master an arsenal of weapons to keep yourself alive in a hostile alien world in this free-roaming first-person PS VR shooter,” reads the official description.

Optimized for the PlayStation VR Aim controller and fully playable with a DualShock wireless controller, shoot solo at your crashed space station or with a friend in online co-op. Trade alien threats to test each other’s skills in different Versus game modes. “

Meanwhile, Maquette is a high-ranking PlayStation Puzzler, a console exclusive to the PS4 and PS5 that offers something new for PS Plus subscribers, without taking up major slots.

For those of you who don’t know much about it, here’s how Graceful Decay describes it: “Maquette is a first-person recursive puzzle game that takes you into a world where every building, plant and object is small and astonishingly large at the same time. Scale model makes it possible by recursively turning the world into itself in an MC Escher-like way.

“Go to the center of the world and you will feel like a giant towering over buildings and walls. But venture further afield and start to feel small as things get bigger and bigger – to the point where cracks in the ground become fissures.

“In Scale Model you explore the scale of everyday problems in a contemporary love story. Where sometimes the smallest problems can become insurmountable obstacles. “

These are just some of the more interesting games available for download today, without mentioning the big ones.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is the March headliner, offering a relatively new AAA experience for anyone who wants to try it.

The FF7 available on PS4 and PS5 consoles turns out to be a somewhat controversial remake of the classic original and remains exclusive to those slot machines.

It remains one of the top rated games in the PlayStation Plus lineup, especially when you consider the thousands of votes it received from gamers.

Remnant: From the Ashes is the last game to be added to your game library, being added in March, and while it’s not as popular as FF7, it’s definitely worth checking out.

“In this third-person survival action shooter, you play as one of the last remnants of humanity trying to reclaim a world overrun by monstrous, interdimensional invaders.

“Alone or with up to two other survivors, venture into dynamically generated worlds, scavenge for supplies and customize your equipment to increase your chances of survival as you tackle over 100 deadly enemy types and epic bosses.”

And gamers should also know that they can still download Destruction Allstars until the new April lineup arrives.

The next PS Plus lineup for free games includes PlayStation-exclusive Days Gone, as well as Zombie Army 4. That’s in addition to Oddworld Soulstorm, which is free to subscribers on launch day.

The free PS4 and PS5 games will be available for download on the morning of April 6 and will be packaged along with other major innovations on PlayStation Store.

So if you’re looking for something new to play, make sure you’ve claimed all of the PS Plus March games before the next ones arrive.
