Some major issues affected some of EA’s hottest games tonight, including an Apex Legends Account Reset bug.

The good news is that Respawn developers are aware of the issues and are looking to fix the issues tonight.

They have not suggested that these problems with gamers losing their progression will be permanent, and such problems have occurred in the past.

However, that doesn’t help those who are concerned about what’s going on with their Apex account.

Of those who have temporarily lost their progress, some Apex Legends accounts have been reverted to Level 1, with everything but cosmetic items lost.

Respawn has provided some background on these issues; However, it’s unclear how best to prevent the same bug from affecting your own account.

An affected user shared his own issues online and told gamers, “My account progress has been reset, I’ve lost all badges from previous seasons, but all my cosmetics and currencies seem intact.

“I contacted a support representative from EA, and he said he was just informed that the problem is widespread, but he expects all information to be backed up securely and that once a solution is found, it will be will be restored.

“After I level up my season pass, you won’t get the rewards a second time.”

Another affected gamer replied, “Logging into your account” does not “trigger the bug. If your account is affected, it will be whether you actually log in to check it.”

“If the error is when the game is retrieving save data, logging in will cause a progress switch, but that’s only if the error occurs when the game is retrieving player progress.”

As mentioned above, Respawn knows what’s happening tonight, but hasn’t been able to give it an ETA on when Apex Legends Reset will be rolled back.

The latest updates on the current Respawn Account issues read: “We are investigating reports of some @ playapex players losing unlocks after changing the email address associated with their EA account.

“A similar bug is affecting the account progress of PS4 players. We asked support teams to escalate these reports – report with updates.

“To clarify, the PS4 account progress error is a similar but separate issue and does not appear to be related to the email / account linking issue. We investigate. “

Another post, this time from EA Help, adds, “Hey Legends, we’re delving into reports that account progress is being misrepresented. We’ll keep you posted here as soon as updates become available. “

Respawn is expected to share more news after learning more about what’s affecting tonight’s issues.

And while this latest bug is a major concern for gamers tonight, account switches have been handled on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in the past.

This has resulted in gamers losing everything before their information is returned after Respawn fixes the issues.

However, it is unclear whether the progress you make in resetting this level will be counted against your account after the full history has been restored.
