If you’ve been waiting for Abe to make a comeback, he did with the release of Oddworld: Soulstorm today on PC, PS4 and as a free game on PS5 for PlayStation Plus subscribers. But that doesn’t mean the game isn’t “bugless”.
Yesterday the press got review copies of Soulstorm stating that ‘Abe gets stuck in an infinite falling loop’ preventing players from getting through the game, as reported by EurogamerThe bug occurs when jumping, falling, or ‘when death is interrupted over a single frame by another state’.
According to the developers’ note, they advised players to at least reset to the last checkpoint to fix the problem. Another issue is specifically related to PS4 and PS4 Pro players booting them out of the game and then back to the PlayStation home screen. Nevertheless, these issues are already being addressed through an upcoming patch, and the developers are assuring that the stored data is safe.
Oddworld: Soulstorm is already available on PC, PS4 and is currently part of PS Plus’s free games for April.
