Capcom is working with Khara on Evangelion content to Capcom Cafe. From April 23, 2021, the café shops will be temporarily available will sell exclusive items decorated with the five Evangelion pilots: Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, Mari Makinami Illustrious and Kaworu Nagisa. This one Evangelion items will be available from April 23, 2021 at both existing Capcom Cafe locations in Aeon Lake Town in Saitama and Q Plaza Ikebukuro in Tokyo. The items will be sold on May 20, 2021, in Saitama, and June 3, 2021, in Tokyo. The café chain previously had collaborations with different titles, such as Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry
This collaboration is for the release of Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, which sold more than 2 million tickets in its first week in Japan and brought in 3.3 billion yen. Promotion for the anime movie continues with a series of roles featuring characters from the title.
