Marvel’s She-Hulk Disney + series adds Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry

The upcoming Disney + series from Marvel Studios She-Hulk Renée has added Elise Goldsberry to its cast to co-star with protagonist Tatiana Maslany.

According to Deadline Goldsberry, who is perhaps best known for her role as Angelica Schuyler in the musical Hamilton, will play a character named Amelia, although the studio has not provided other details at this time.

Goldsberry plays next to Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk and Ginger Gonzaga as Walter’s best friend, Tim Roth, who are Incredible Hulk role as Emil Blonsky / Abomination, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / The Hulk. Recent rumors have suggested that Krysten Ritter is returning as Detective Jessica Jones now that the rights to the character have returned to Marvel from Netflix.

She-Hulk follows Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a criminal defense attorney who turns herself into the sensational She-Hulk after an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. The series has been described as a half-hour legal comedy directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia with Jessica Gao as the lead writer.
