CBS has announced that it has canceled the Lucas Till headliner MacGyver reboot, with this month’s season finale.

“We at CBS are all extremely grateful for the incredible work and dedication of Lucas and the rest of the cast, as well as for [showrunner] Monica Macer, the writers and the entire crew, ”said Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment. “The MacGyver team traveled far and wide to save the world repeatedly with little more than gum and a paper clip and clearly made this show theirs. We are delighted to give this dedicated and loyal fan base the opportunity to say goodbye to their favorite characters in the thoughtful way this series deserves. “

‘Since I got on board MacGyver last year I was amazed at the dedication and enthusiasm of this remarkable cast and crew, as well as the loyal fans, ”added showrunner Macer. “My thanks go to [stars] Lucas, Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, Meredith Eaton, Levy Tran and Henry Ian Cusick, who put everything they have into our show, especially for the fans. We can’t wait for them to see our spectacular final episodes and the adventures awaiting Mac and the Phoenix team. “

The latest episode of MacGyver airs on CBS on April 30.
