The new MG34 machine gun

It is one of the most produced machine guns during WWII on the German side with more than 500,000 units. The MG34 landed on the beaches of Normandy to replace the Machine Gunner’s initial equipment, the MG42, which will normally be available from level 3 of the reel.

Gameplay change on barbed wire

While this gameplay change can already be seen on video, it is nevertheless extremely impressive. The engineer can now deploy barbed wire obstacles high and impassable, making this construction option particularly effective for interrupting opponent’s progress, beware of barbed wire damage.

This change also applies to “barbed wire on natural terrain that should slow you down and injure you, but not impassable”.

During the presentation of this new feature, the developers assured us that barbed wire can be destroyed with explosive saddlebags, direct fire from tanks or artillery. We unfortunately failed to destroy one during our testing, it will definitely be deployed before release on the live servers.

The shovel as a melee weapon

One of the main features of the next version of Hell Let Loose is the addition of melee weapons, and we’ll start with the first one present in the game … the folding shovel

Even if the animations are not ready yet, we have already been able to test that this shovel is a bit too leaky for our taste. It allows you to kill in one hit, our tester performed several elimination rounds armed only with this earth moving object.

German PAs will be less visible

The outposts set up by your officer on the German side are equipped with a radio inspired by the German Tornister FU.D2, his portable radios had the option of attaching a cross-shaped antenna to the top.

Although they are richly modeled, they are also highly visible, which is why the developers decided to shorten the length of the antenna.
