It won’t be long before gamers play the new playlists and modes included in the Apex Legends War Games event.

Scheduled to launch on all platforms today, gamers will soon see the regular playlist replaced with a collection of highly modified variants.

So far we know these will only be available for a short period of time, with new modes being added every few days.

This appears to be starting on Tuesday, April 13, with the time of the Apex Legends War Games event at 8pm BST.

The other big part of the Apex event will unlock the new War Games cosmetics, which will include new skins for Pathfinder, Wraith, Lifeline, Gibby, Mirage, and Bloodhound.

Here’s the full list of War Games modes going live later today:

SECOND CHANCE

We’ll kick off April 13 with a blast with our first modifier: Second Chance. In this modifier, each Legend gets one free respawn per match. Once a Legend is killed, their Respawn Token is consumed as they rise back from their current location and keep all their weapons and equipment. After a short while, the player respawns high in the air to get back into the action.

Note that while Second Chance is active, players cannot unlock Assassin, Wake, or Wrath badges as these prestigious badges are much easier to unlock in this mode.

ULTRA ZONES

Then we shake up your ideal drop strategy with Ultra Zones! Ultra Zones introduce the concept of multiple Hot Zones within one map. More epic loot, more gold items! But wait, there is more! Each Hot Zone is enveloped by a Flash Point – a recurring feature from a Season 6 LTM. For those of you who don’t know, Flash Points are huge, glowing bubbles that replenish your HP and shields when you’re inside. Consumables are still normally available in the outside inventory in this mode.

CAR BANNERS

Tune-in mid-event for automatic banners. In this modifier, we’ve made a fairly minor but snappy change to squad member respawn. The banner cards of your teammates are automatically collected! No need to raid their coffin to retrieve their banner cards, just go straight to a respawn beacon. The loot pool has been changed to also include more Mobile Respawn Beacons.

TO KILL TIME

Feel the pressure with Killing Time. This event speeds up the match when Legends fall. During a lap, whenever a legend dies, the lap time is shortened. If any round is a bloodbath, you can bet that ring will close very quickly! Keep an eye on the lap timer and ring in this modifier.

ARMOR RAIN

We close the event with Armor Regen. That’s right: your armor recovers over time at a rate of 12 points per second. Each time you take damage, your armor will start regenerating after an 8 second delay. This delay is doubled to 16 seconds if your armor is cracked. One last thing for this mode: there are no shield cells in the loot supply!

The Modifier schedule has also been announced, meaning you will only be able to play these new Takeover modes for a few days.

All modes start and end in the morning, PT time, with the last day of the variant modes set to April 27. The full schedule is as follows:

Second Chance: Tuesday, 4/13 – Thursday, 4/15

Ultra Zones: Thursday April 15 – Monday April 19

Auto Banners: Monday April 19 – Wednesday April 21

Killing Time: Wednesday, 4/21 – Friday, 4/23

Armor Regen: Friday, April 23 – Tuesday, April 27

As with previous events, you can earn up to 1,000 points per day and challenges are renewed daily. There are also stretch challenges that reward four unique badges when you complete them during the event. All of these challenges are also stackable with your Battle Pass, so you can complete several at once.

There will also be new skins to unlock, with Pathfinder, Wraith, Lifeline, Gibby, Mirage and Bloodhound all rocking some revamped versions of classic looks to celebrate the War Games.
