Epic Games is expected to update Fortnite with a new patch this week, although it may not be as big as the recent one.

Following the successful Season 6 launch, Epic has been dripping new content every few weeks to keep things fresh.

And leakers expect the new Fortnite update to arrive in the next few days, with predictions running from April 13 to April 15.

Based on recent releases, Epic Games could choose to launch the latest patch earlier in the week.

And if it chooses to do so, we expect Fortnite server downtime to start around 9am BST in the UK.

Maintenance can take several hours, with downtime usually taking less time as we get further into a new season.

Fortnite Season 6 has brought in a lot of new content, and recent leaks suggest there is more to come.

Epic Games could choose to release a new weapon this week to spice things up, with the Unstable Bow long rumored for an April release.

The Recycler only recently went live, so it may take a little longer for the development team to launch a new device on the island.

From what has been shared so far, the Unstable Bow will be an exotic weapon available for purchase from an NPC.

And not only will it provide a damage boost, but it can also cause further disruption by “glitching” the enemy.

We won’t know more until Epic chooses to release it, and there’s no guarantee it will be part of Fortnite 16.20 update.

New weapon mods are also expected in the coming weeks, although these remain more speculative.

Epic Games may have made some serious changes to this new feature since they were originally noticed by data miners and may even have been dropped.

There will also be new bug fixes included in the next Fortnite update, and these are the ones mentioned by Epic Games in the early patch notes:

  • The Code Green Wrap does not show the number design.
  • When playing Fortnite, players cannot create games at the system level with players on both PS5 and PS4.
  • Due to an issue, Slurpshrooms and Coconuts have been temporarily disabled.
  • Collection book character # 17 does not currently appear on the island.
  • Players have a clear, unobstructed view during the storm using performance mode or on mobile.
  • Problems with Arena playlist.
  • We are investigating an issue with the start setting of a pickaxe that is still expanding with a pickaxe
  • Vehicles don’t move well in Creative.
  • The 3D resets itself to 75% with each title launch, even if the player saved their settings to 100% in the last session.
  • Successfully completing missions in the Scurvy Shoals Ventures season will not earn the correct quest credit for “Directive: Mission Alert 2!”
