PlayStation Plus subscribers are waiting for Sony to unveil May 2021’s free PS5 and PS4 games.

This year’s free PS Plus games were exceptional, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Destruction All-Stars, and Control Ultimate Edition.

The current line-up is equally impressive, consisting of Days Gone, Zombie Army 4 and the brand new PS5 game Oddworld Soulstorm.

If you haven’t downloaded the April 2021 free games yet, the good news is that you still have plenty of time.

The PlayStation Plus lineup for May 2021 won’t be announced until 4:30 PM on April 28. The games will be available for download less than a week later on May 4th.

Unless the new games leak ahead of time, it will be a long wait until we find out if Sony can maintain its PS Plus hot streak.

The most interesting game from the current line-up is undoubtedly Oddworld Soulstorm, which is a direct sequel to Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty.

“Witness Abe’s gruesome conflict with a terrifying new machinations in this fresh narrative adventure,” reads the official description.

“Oddworld Soulstorm represents a great visual and cinematic leap. With intelligent new mechanics and twisted new devices that enable highly explosive cunning. This is a dark parable that tells an epic tale of a volatile society pushed to its limits.”

Days Gone is another high-profile PlayStation release, featuring a massive open world and some excellent zombies.

Drive into a desperate canine-eat-dog world ravaged by a deadly pandemic as drifter and bounty hunter, Deacon St. John.

“Risk the threat of the broken road on the back of your trusty bum bike as you face swarms of foolish savage Freakers – and equally terrifying people.

“Unpredictable weather and different times of day and night can create incredible dangers and shocking surprises … and everything wants you dead.”

Finally, Zombie Army 4 is an entertaining co-op shooter developed by British studio Rebellion.

Hitler’s hordes are back for more in this hair-raising shooter from the creators of Sniper Elite 4! Horrific occult enemies, epic weapons and a gripping new campaign for 1-4 players await in 1940s Europe as you fight for humanity to save the undead. Armageddon! “
