The wait for the reveal and release date of GTA 6 just keeps going. But as fans continue to look forward to some news, a new rumor has surfaced, courtesy of a trustworthy leaker. Tom Henderson – aka LongSensation – has a long track record of accurately leaking information about other blockbuster games not in Rockstar’s stable – Call of Duty and Battlefield.

But recently the trustworthy leaker has discussed some interesting details about GTA 6. previously reported on how Henderson predicted a GTA 6 reveal could take 18 months.

Henderson dropped this expected reveal window in a response to a tweet about when GTA 6 could be announced.

Adding to the discussion, Henderson wrote, “Yes, I agree. I think we’re 18 months away from a GTA 6 announcement tbh”.

And now in line with this, Henderson has unveiled potentially huge news about GTA 6.

While fans have been waiting for an official announcement from Rockstar Games, there are plenty of rumors circulating.

It is claimed that GTA 6 could be a timed exclusive to the PS5, that it will only be for next-generation consoles, that it could feature a storyline inspired by Netflix’s Narcos, which has a new location in South America , featuring the first-ever playable female protagonist and more.

It has also been claimed that GTA 6 is set in Vice City (which many people have now considered a given) and that it could be played in two different time periods: the 80s again and the modern day.

However, it seems Henderson has put to bed rumors that fans of Grand Theft Auto could dust off their white suits to go back to the era of Miami Vice, the Sony Walkman, incredible music (Cyndi Lauper anyone?), GOAT- movies such as The Breakfast Club and many more.

Earlier this week, Henderson responded to calls for more information on GTA 6.

And Henderson answered this request, leaving out the news that GTA 6 will be set in the modern era – not the 80s.

Henderson tweeted, “It’s not set in the 80s and it’s modern.”

Henderson explained the reasons for this, adding, “GTA Online + Modern + Wacky S *** = More Money”.

The latest GTA 6 rumors come after Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier delivered some bad news about the release.

Schreier was asked if GTA 6 could be released around 2023 – a prediction previously made on the Tripe Click podcast.

In response, the well-known journalist said, “Expect everything to be much later than you might think because of Covid”.
