Oddworld Soulstorm Update 1.08 - Patch notes on April 28

Today there was a new update for Oddworld: Soulstorm. We have all the details on this patch on April 28th.

The Oddworld Soulstorm Update 1.08 is now available for download, for all platforms. The file size on the PS5 is 428 MB. The patch includes new features and bug fixes.

Oddworld Soulstorm Patch Notes 1.08 | April 28

New features:

  • Players can now disable the main HUD UI in the settings
  • Players can now turn off badge warnings in the settings

Level specific bug fixes:

  • Multiple solutions for jumps outside the world in certain levels
  • Fixed potential progress blockers in Brewery and Slig Barracks
  • The moving Royal Jelly attached to the end of CD Yards
  • Motion detectors mounted in Necrum
  • Sorrow Valley’s Flying Slig explosions have been fixed
  • Fixes issues with Sanctum respawns
  • Fix for the train that was not at the end of Phat Station in certain situations
  • Sorrow Valley solves bird portal
  • rock saw audio fix in Necrum
  • lockers fixed in The Ruins
  • fixed issue causing the lattice door to close
  • fixed an issue that the blimp in the blimp level was visible under certain conditions
  • further fix for incorrect Mudokon count in The Ruins
  • the lever in the Flying Slig section in Sorrow Valley now opens the electric gate, eliminating the need to kill all six Sligs first

Abe related bug fixes:

  • Significant improvements to Monkeybar’s edge detection
  • Fix for Abe getting stuck falling off the bottom of a climbing surface
  • fix for Abe huddled spawn
  • solution for Abe clipping through platforms after crouching after a double jump
  • solution for Abe who got stuck on small platforms

Bug fixes for AI / NPC:

  • Sligs no longer float in certain states
  • Sligs are now more responsive to mortars, especially in the Blimp level
  • Slig AI fix related to bedtime in the middle of an alert animation
  • further solutions for when Sligs sedates Mudokons
  • fix for stuck post-processing FX when chanting
  • solution for soft lock when spamming the interaction button on an empty locker
  • Slig corrects AI behavior related to hitting
  • Sligs in the distance now respond correctly after their gun overheated
  • Sligs that chase Abe when he enters a crawlspace no longer show strange behavior
  • Sligs can no longer shoot through a climbing surface
  • Sligs now move to disturbances when they hear or see them
  • Sligs no longer get stuck in a resting state
