Focus Home Interactive and Gasket Games have released a new video for their upcoming turn-based fighting game, Warhammer – Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. This new video provides an overview of the three factions that players can choose from as well as solo and multiplayer gameplay. Watch the video below to learn more about this upcoming game set in Games Workshop’s rich Warhammer universe.
In Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground players can choose from one of three factions and lead them to victory in epic fast-paced turn-based battles. These factions are:
- Stormcast Eternals are avatars of Sigmar himself, determined to fight against the forces of Chaos. With their control of lightning and heavy armor, they are a force to be reckoned with.
- The Nighthaunt are the multitudes of ghosts, evil spirits and banshees who work together to drag the living into the underworld. Their hatred for all living things makes them stop at nothing to kill everyone.
- The Maggotkin are Nurgle’s rotting powers. Bound by their Chaos god to recreate everything in Nurgle’s image, these monstrous creatures will infect everything they come across, including the land itself.
In the game’s solo mode, players will follow a non-linear procedurally generated campaign in which they collect new heroes, units, wargear, skills, weapons and more. During online multiplayer mode, players gain new units the more they play, allowing players to further customize the way they deploy their armed forces.
Combat takes place on battlefields where every tile is tactically relevant, from energy filling aethyr pools to ancient chests filled to the brim with secrets and rewards.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground arrives May 27 for the PC, Xbox and Playstation families. Pre-orders are now available for those who get the Spoils of War weapon pack, which offers an exclusive weapon for each faction.
