Konami announced on his official Twitter account that it won’t be on E3 2021. The company stated it will not be ready for E3 “due to timing.” However, Konami assured its audience that it is working on several important projects, which it will inform people about in the coming months.

In the past decade, Konami has not developed or published video games at the same pace as the early years. However, it released collections of classic titles in the Contra and Castlevania series.

With E3 Coming in June 2021, partners and sponsors have announced their affiliation with and intentions for the expo. Currently, the website for E3 2021 only lists the collaborating exhibitors and sponsors such as Nintendo, Microsoft, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Capcom, Warner Bros Games, Koch Media and Konami. It is not clear if Konami’s listing is an error or just a supporting role as a sponsor with no actual presence. Square Enix confirmed its affiliation with the upcoming event in April 2021, although it is not on the main page of the website.

E3 2021 will take place from June 12-15, 2021. After canceling the event in 2020, it will return in digital format this year.
