Apex Legends Season 9 release time news
Respawn has big plans for the release of Apex Legends Season 9, including a brand new mode that goes live on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
That’s without mentioning the new Legends character, which is going live as part of the release date.
Valkyrie is the daughter of Apex Predator Viper, who salvaged the remains of the Northstar Titan from her father years after his death.
With the help of Rampart, she has turned it into a sleek new jetpack that honors her family’s legacy. Now she is participating in the Games under the name VALKYRIE.
Valkyrie comes with several new abilities, including using your jetpack to move or reach high places.
Gamers can also fire a swarm of mini-missiles that damage and disorient the enemy, and can scan beacons to reveal the location of the next circle.
This is part of this week’s Apex Legends update, with the season 9 release date and timing set for Tuesday, May 4.
A full schedule has not yet been confirmed by Respawn but chances are something will be shared in the coming hours.
We also know what else is in the pipeline for Apex Season 9, although there won’t be a surprise mobile launch this week.
The major update also includes a new weapon and mode called Arenas, a 3vs3 experience that will be available to everyone on launch day.
A post shared in the Apex Legends patch notes reveals this about the new Arenas mode, telling fans:
“The Games will go underground with the introduction of a new permanent mode: Arenas. Completely reassembled and unimpressed by the glitz and glamor of the Apex Games, former Apex Predator Ash takes the competition back to its roots. A purer form of fighting.
“The rules are simple: 3 to 3. Take out your enemies to win the round. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You win or you die.
“Arenas has a new set of custom maps, tailor-made for close range combat (with more to come in the future). Squads start each round in a spawn room, where they can get weapons, equipment and skills and adjust their equipment as their strategy changes. The first team to win three rounds with a lead of at least two points is crowned the winner – unless they compete for a four-four draw. Then they have the honor of taking part in Ash’s favorite part of the game: Sudden Death.
“To win an Arenas match, you have to win at least three rounds and be two points ahead of the enemy team.
Let’s talk about what that looks like in practice. The easiest way is to win three rounds without dropping more than one round at your opponent. In other words, go 3-0 or 3-1 and the game is over.
“However, if your opponent manages to win at least two rounds, it gets interesting. You have to advance two full rounds to win. Going 3-2 or 4-3 isn’t enough.
“Instead, you will have to go 4-2 or 5-3 to secure victory. Rounds continue until one team moves forward two laps. If this continues until the ninth round (by going 4-4), game play. starts in sudden death mode. Whoever wins round nine takes home all the glory. “
WHEN WILL THE APEX LEGENDS SEASON 9 RELEASE TIME?
Respawn Entertainment has revealed that the Apex Legends Season 9 release date is set for Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
This starts with the launch of an Apex update, which will add the new Arenas mode, as well as a new character, weapon and other changes.
It should be noted that while we don’t know the “official” Apex Legends UK release time, things may change later in the day.
Respawn has put major updates live much earlier than advertised in the past, so it’s worth checking out on Tuesday for surprises.
But based on the current countdown timer, Apex Legends Season 9 release time is scheduled for Tuesday, May 4, 6:00 PM BST.
