GTA 6, or GTA VI, is years away if we are to believe a well-known movie scooper.
From time to time, new rumors about Rockstar’s next GTA episode surfaced. Usually these rumors claim that the title will be officially revealed “soon” or that the institution has been leaked. To date, however, Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two have been pretty quiet about the title, and with GTA V still bringing in the money (and a next-gen version on the way), an announcement seems a long way off.
Those hoping the next GTA episode will be out sometime next year may do well to keep their expectations in check, as well-known movie scooper ‘ViewerAnon’ took to Twitter to tweet something interesting about GTA 6. According to the scooper, the game won’t be released on PC and consoles anytime soon, as developer Rockstar Games was internally titled for release in late 2023 – that’s 2.5 years away from now.
Define “soon”. Companies test games * year *.
(And last year, Rockstar had internally set GTA VI for release in late 2023) https://t.co/Cr0Q3tKhFp

Of course, this doesn’t confirm that GTA 6 will indeed be released in late 2023, and since most game releases are delayed due to COVID-19, this timeframe may have already changed internally.
Still, in the past, the scooper has proven to be quite reliable when it comes to movie scopes, especially with its DC and Star Wars related information. As with all rumors, take the above information with a good grain of salt for now. We will update as soon as we learn more about GTA VI.
Rockstar Games released GTA V for Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013. The game was later released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. As mentioned, a next-gen version of the game is scheduled for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S later this year. As discussed earlier, this next-gen version can use Red Dead Redemption 2’s refined RAGE engine on the next-gen consoles.
