Following a new leak this week, fans are hoping that the official Battlefield 6 release date and first trailer will be shared very soon.

For those who may have missed this weekend, two new images have surfaced online that appear to be part of an upcoming teaser campaign.

Tom Henderson, a well-known Battlefield insider, has confirmed the new images are real and told his followers on Twitter:

“I’m not going to RT or sharing for obvious reasons … But then again, the 2 # BATTLEFIELD images leaked in the last hour are real.”

Battlefield 6’s new leaks don’t contain much information and appear to be of low quality, but they could indicate something a lot more exciting for fans.

While it’s been a long time since a new Battlefield game was unveiled, it looks like something might be happening soon.

Both images may be from a new BF6 trailer that will be part of the reveal, meaning we could be very close to a full announcement.

Fans already know that the Battlefield 6 release date is set for the summer of 2021, but each new trailer is expected to offer a full schedule.

This means we know exactly in which month we can expect the big new Battlefield project to launch across different platforms.

Previous rumors have suggested that May 7 will be the date we get to see the big Battlefield 6 trailer, but this has not been verified at this point.

Earlier this week, fans noticed that the Battlefield Twitter and YouTube accounts had changed the banner on their profiles, with the banner currently showing with just the Battlefield logo.

This follows the official Battlefield Twitter dropping the surprise announcement that the next Battlefield game would be revealed “soon”.

And details about Battlefield 6 were also revealed in a blog post, with fans haunted by an upcoming “jaw-dropping” experience for the PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.

The recent post from developers DICE teases the biggest game to date in the series, telling fans:

“First, we are very excited to have the largest Battlefield development team ever working on our console and PC game for this holiday season, and second… we have something really exciting to talk about on mobile!

“2021 is an exciting time for us here at DICE. By partnering with more world-class development studios within Electronic Arts, we have our largest team ever on a Battlefield game for console and PC.

“Our friends at Criterion and DICE LA work with us on our shared vision for the game, while the Gothenburg team takes the technology in the game to the next level. Together we create an immersive experience for you to enjoy. .

“We are currently in daily test mode: polish, balance and make the best possible Battlefield game we can. I can tell you it is a bold move. It has everything we love about Battlefield – and takes it all to the next level. Epic bowl.

“All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Destruction that changes the game. Massive battles, packed with more players and chaos than ever before. All brought to life with the power of the next generation of consoles and PCs.”
