Young rock star Uli Latukefu joins Dwayne Johnson in Black Adam

Young Rock star Uli Latukefu has joined ‘Old Rock’ – aka Dwayne Johnson – in the cast of Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema’s DC Extended Universe movie Black Adam.

Johnson will star in the title role as DC Comics antihero Teth-Adam, an ancient Egyptian chosen by the wizard Shazam to serve as his successor and given the same powers as his future nemesis Shazam (Zachary Levi).

There’s no word yet on who will play Latukefu, but given his Young Rock A flashback’s role as a young Teth-Adam cannot be ruled out.

Black Adam is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise) and sees Dwayne Johnson alongside Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz and Marwan Kenzari, James Cusati-Moyer, Bodhi Sabongui and Uli Latukefu in unrevealed roles.

Black Adam is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
