This fan-made demo of Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) will blow you away

The desire for a new Batman Arkham from Rocksteady has never gone away. But this fan-made game demo based on Tim Burton’s vision of the world’s greatest detective, Batman, is a great little project.

Uploaded by Indie Path (Osmany Gomez) on YouTube, this 20-minute Batman-made demo serves to be part of his portfolio as a technical artist using Unreal Engine 4. What’s even more impressive is that it was created by two people: Osmany Gomez (the full demo without the music) and Bonny Baez (music)

The Batcave, Michael Keaton’s Batman and Gotham City are faithfully recreated in Unreal Engine 4. The level of detail is beautiful and the demo is fully playable. In the video, you can see Indie Path touring us through the Batcave and then hopping into the Batmobile driving sequence, arriving in Gotham City. However, the infamous crime-ridden city is a ghost town. There are no burgers walking around, no guys to hit, just pure landscapes and see how amazing these creations are.

Since this is only part of his portfolio as a developer, we may never see this as a full-fledged game due to legal issues.

While we’re still hoping for a new Batman game, Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad and WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights are coming very soon.

We would like to thank Osmany for such a great Batman made game demo, this has quenched our thirst for a new Batman game for now.
