Xbox Game Pass is getting new games in May
Xbox Game Pass is introducing new games for the service this week, starting with Dragon Quest Builders 2 on Tuesday, May 4. Microsoft today announced its plans for the new month, revealing that they would be adding a total of nine new games in the near future. weeks. This means that by the end of May, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play a number of new titles on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
It should be noted that some are released only on consoles, while others appear exclusively on Microsoft’s PC platforms.
This means you’ll need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – Microsoft’s premium version of its XGP library – to access some of them.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 kicks off on May 4 with the major Xbox Game Pass update, first announced on April 26.
“Get ready to put on your helmet, get your tools and start building. You Can Embark On An Epic Journey And Become The Master Builder As Dragon Quest Builders 2 Comes To Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S (via backward compatibility) and Windows 10 PC and Xbox Game Pass (console, Cloud and PC) on May 4, ”states the official Xbox Game Pass announcement.
For those who may not have heard of it, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is the block-building RPG spin-off of the hit Dragon Quest series created by Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama and composer Koichi Sugiyama.
Unlike other block building games, Dragon Quest Builders 2 has a full storyline, complete with its own cast of characters.
We don’t know exactly what time Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be playable on May 4, but we expect the new game to be live at 6pm BST.
And while Dragon Quest Builders 2 is set to release for Xbox Game Pass this week, more is planned for May.
For those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, FIFA 21 will be playable on May 6, alongside Outlast 2 and Steep.
FIFA 21 is incredibly popular, and while not all Xbox Game Pass subscribers will start playing it for free this week, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other games to look forward to.
Later this month, Microsoft will introduce Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remaster, Just Cause 4: Reloaded, Psychonauts and Red Dead Online.
All of this is coming to the service on May 13, but it should be noted that Red Dead Online will be the standalone version and will not feature single-player campaign content.
The tech giant plans to close the month with the release of Remnant: From the Ashes, which will be available to play on the PC platform the same day.
Microsoft also announced that they are refreshing the Xbox Game Pass library by dropping the following games this month:

- Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 (PC)
- Dungeon of the Endless (cloud, console and PC)
- Final Fantasy IX (console and PC)
- Hotline Miami (PC)
- Plebby Quest: The Crusades (PC)
