The return of Rugrats is coming very soon, as Paramount + announced in their sizzle reel in May that the GCI revival series will premiere on the streaming service on May 27.

Rugrats follows the adventures of babies and toddlers Tommy, Chuckie, Susie, twins Phil and Lil and Tommy’s older cousin Angelica. The original voice cast returns for this new revival, with EG Daily as Tommy Pickles, Nancy Cartwright as Chuckie Finster, Cheryl Chase as Angelica Pickles, Cree Summer as Susie Carmichael and Kath Soucie as Phil and Lil DeVille.

While the original voice cast returns for the kids, the revival has a new cast for their parents. Tony Hale (Arrested development) joins as Chuckie’s dad Chas, Natalie Morales (Stuber) as Phil & Lil’s mom Betty, Nicole Byer (The Unicorn) as Susie’s mom Lucy, Anna Chlumsky (Veep) as Angelica’s mother Charlotte, Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals) as Tommy’s mom Didi, Tom Dewey (Ordinary) as Tommy’s dad Stu, Timothy Simons (Veep) as Angelica’s dad Drew, Omar Miller (Ballers) as Susie’s dad Randy, and Michael McKean (You better call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles.

The original Rugrats series debuted in August 1991 and ran for nine seasons before ending in 2004. The animated children’s series featured three feature films: The movie Rugrats, Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, and Rugrats Go Wild. There was even a spin-off Rugrats: All grown up!, who followed the kids as older children and pre-teens.
