Lockdown is officially coming to an end, and cinemas can finally open on May 17th. The good news for movie fans is that there is a backlog of major releases in line to finally take their place on the big screen. A dazzling line-up includes James Bond: No Time To Die, Top Gun: Maverick, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Mission Impossible 7, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Marvel releases Black Widow, Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Black Widow will take on Fast and Furious 9 directly when both release on July 9.
Vue cinemas announced this morning that tickets are now on sale for the first round of upcoming films, including Peter Rabbit 2 on May 17 and A Quiet Place 2 on June 4, as well as event cinema such as the Final Champions League and Europa League.

UK CINEMA: UNLIMITED MOVIES FOR £ 10 PER MONTH
Odeon cinemas are launching their Odeon myLIMITLESS card from just £ 9.99 a month (£ 11.99 in central London) until September 30th.
UK CINEMA: SHOULD YOU WEAR A MASK?
Major British cinema chains, including Vue and Odeon, have confirmed to Express Online that all customers must wear a mask, except when consuming food or drink.
UK CINEMA: IS THE SEAT SOCIAL DISTANCE?
All seats have a social distance between each booking group. Screening times will also be staggered to minimize crowds in common areas and hallways before and after each movie.

Vue Cinemas has announced a fresh air ventilation system where “where possible fresh air is constantly brought into the venue and not recirculated”.
Vue and Odeon have both confirmed to Express Online that all screening areas will be cleaned and disinfected between each screening.
All food and drinks are prepackaged and payment is always made contactless.

LUCA – JUNE 18
The latest animated treat from Disney and PIXAR follows two adventurous young boys (who may also have a strange secret) as they explore life beyond the sea. The movie will be streamed directly to Disney Plus as part of the standard subscription.

A QUIET PLACE JUNE 2 – 3:
The sequel picks up the pieces of Emily Blunt and her children fighting for survival after sound-sensitive aliens devastate Earth.
FAST & FURIOUS 9 – 9 JULY:

This is currently the clash of the year as Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel hero tries to outsmart the Fast gang. Like Cruella, this will also hit theaters and be released on Disney Plus at a premium at the same time.
TOP GUN MAVERICK – JULY 2O:
Tom Cruise is back after 35 years as the rebellious fighter pilot still fighting authority, while the Iceman of Val Kilmer has become a four-star admiral. Jennifer Connelly is his last love interest Miles Teller plays the son of Maverick’s much-missed best buddy Goose.
