Gamers in Warzone and Call of Duty Cold War can start unlocking the new Carv.2 Tactical Rifle today.

This new burst-fire tactical rifle, described by developer Treyarch as “impressive firepower, solid recoil control and a large ammunition pool to draw out”, is geared for mid-range combat.

It can also be used to take down long-range targets, but must first be unlocked with in-game challenges.

To earn the Carv.2 in Call of Duty Cold War, gamers must quickly take out 2 or more players in ten different matches using a Tactical Rifle.

These matches also need to be completed, so you can’t just take out two players in quick succession and then quit.

The same mission can be found in Call of Duty Warzone this week, although it will take much longer to complete.

Ten missions in Warzone can take a long time, although this has the added benefit of being able to take yourself out after completing the challenge.

And for those who still want to go for the win, Resurgence Duos is also available, with fewer players to shoot at, but faster games to complete.

There have also been other changes made to Call of Duty Cold War this week, including new maps to play and playlists to peruse.

A post from Treyarch explains these latest additions in a post from Treyarch: “Create a team and jump into a Moshpit of TDM, Domination, Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint in the latest 6v6 maps from season three in the Yamantau + Diesel 24 / 7 playlist.

Hardcore players can also enjoy this in the Quick Play menu with HC TDM, HC Domination and HC Kill Confirmed.

Party Game fans can also indulge in the all-new Party Games playlists, with Gun Game, Sticks and Stones, and the return of Prop Hunt in Season Three, along with Yamantau and Diesel added to the Prop Hunt map rotation.

“We’ve also added Gun Game to the Quick Play roster, joining Sticks and Stones from the start of the season.

And for Gunfight fans who like a bit of variety in their arsenal, Gunfight Blueprints returns in Featured Playlists this week! We’ve also made some additional stability improvements and Zombies fixes, including an aiming aid fix for the Pack-a-Punched Swiss K31. “
