Amazon Studios is partnering with Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Kilter Films for the new horror anthology show Unknown.

Developed by Craig Macneill and Clay Chapman (The boy), Unknown is described as “a series of psychological horror anthologies that plunge into the fringes of the American landscape, exploring the intersection of folklore and our bloody real-crime history.”

The first season of Unknown will revolve around “an estranged brother and sister who return to the Texas Killing Fields, but encounter a dark spirit who has lived in the region since childhood.”

Nolan and Joy are currently in a blanket deal with Amazon Studios, where they are also producing the upcoming sci-fi series The peripheral starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Jack Reynor.
