If you try this morning and can’t access eBay, it looks like you’re not alone. Hundreds of users are complaining that the popular auction site is offline and not working. Some fans of the service cannot access the site or app, while others see an error message saying, “This is embarrassing. We are sorry, but this page is not currently loading. Please try again later.”
It seems that most of the issues affect merchants trying to access and view their offers.
Independent tracking website DownDetector, which monitors social media listings to track when web services are offline, suggests hundreds of eBay users are currently experiencing the outage. In fact, at the time of writing, there are about 900 complaints that users cannot access the site.

Users have now taken to DownDector’s forum page to complain about the gremlins that keep some from selling their products.
A frustrated eBay seller said, “Obvious problems! My sales page to edit stock lists etc. is currently down. Hope they fix it soon for all of us affected as we can add more inventory.”
While another added, “There were some items this morning that ended up with multiple viewers that didn’t sell because no one can go online! Now I missed out on the 80% discount on selling costs because of this. Ridiculous!”
There’s no word on what caused the problems or when it will be resolved, although one user has said that simply logging out of the account and logging back in will fix the problem.
In addition to mentions about Down Detector, Twitter is also full of complaints about merchants facing similar issues.
A tweet said @eBay has gone down and I have offers ending with a lot of viewers! I think they will all remain unsold now?
Another added, “I was adding tracking # ‘s to different packages when the page got weird. Now none of my unsold or sold items are visible.
