Mass Effect Legendary Edition is almost here, and the release date for the remastered version of the iconic Bioware RPG is fast approaching. On Friday, May 14, fans new and old will be able to relive the epic story of Commander Shephard’s battle against the Reapers, this time with improved visuals, textures and models optimized for 4K Ultra HD. The Mass Effect Legendary Edition combines all the games from the original Mass Effect trilogy and includes over 40 bits of DLC.

If you pre-ordered the Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Xbox or PlayStation consoles, you should be able to load the game right now.

You will need to free up quite a bit of space for Mass Effect on your hard drive as the base game is reported to weigh only 68 GB for PS4 gamers in the US and about 87 GB for those in Europe.

There will also a day one patch which is 11.7 GB for those in the United States and 13.3 GB for those in Europe.

In the run-up to the big release day later this week, rumors are also circulating that EA could launch an early access period for those who pre-ordered the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

Xbox gamers have reported that they have received an official email stating that the release date for ME Legendary Edition has been brought forward.

An Xbox gamer posted on Twitter, “Has Mass Effect Legendary Edition just been pushed forward one day? It says the release date is the 14th, but I just got this email from Xbox and I don’t know what to believe. @ XboxSupport any response? “

They shared an email of the message saying, “Hi there! Thank you for your reservation. We’re writing to let you know that the item’s availability date has changed.”

“We hope you are still excited about the arrival. Please know that you can cancel your order at any time before it becomes available.”

EA has yet to officially announce whether there will be an early access window for Mass Effect Legendary Edition or not, so it is possible that these emails were sent accidentally.

With the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, gamers can play the entire Mass Effect trilogy from start to finish, all in one place.

And the makers of Mass Effect have said they hope this will help gamers re-evaluate the ending of Mass Effect 3.

In 2012, when ME3 was first released, the ending was hugely controversial, with BioWare later having to release DLC in the line it expanded.

Speaking of the Mass Effect that ends on Cnet, ME Legendary Edition project director Mac Walters said, “The extended cut of the end was part of the DLC, so that’s part of your new ingrained experience with the Legendary Edition.

“But I think people have to make up their own minds about it – we haven’t changed any of the story. It’s been a while too, so people play it through in its entirety and then reassess it. If they still do.” have the same feelings about it, that’s fair.

“I know I’ve viewed the trilogy in a very different way now that it’s all together. I hope other people will see it that way too.”
