MLB The Show 21 servers rebooted today at the same time as game update 6 was released for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. At 4 a.m., which is 7 a.m. East and 12 a.m. BST, MLB The Show 21’s servers rebooted and the latest patch – game update 6 – was released. This soon followed the release of game update 5 earlier this week.
As with all other MLB server maintenance, players were advised to finish games in advance.
Announcing the latest update, MLB The Show posted on Twitter, “Game Update 6 & server reboot @ 4 AM PT on 5/13/21, please complete all games before then.”
The latest MLB The Show update is version 1.06 for PS4, 1.006 for PS5 and for Xbox consoles is 1.0.0.43.
In terms of patch notes, the MLB creators just said, “This is a minor update that fixes missing skin textures, helmet clipping and a Road to the Show crash.”
The latest MLB The Show patch release will come after the game update 5 release on Tuesday.

MLB THE SHOW 21 GAME UPDATE 5 PATCH NOTES
GAMEPLAY
The bat will no longer pass through the ball on “late” swings
Fixed an issue where the bat would move erratically on late swings
Fixed a bug where the catcher would occasionally not field a ball after a down hit
Fixed a bug that could freeze the game online after a pitchout
Fixed an intermittent crash that occurred when swinging and missing on a field in the sand
Runners will not turn around at a steel house if they are safe pressing R2
Fixed an issue that caused runners to leave the base path
Fixed a bug that caused catchers not in position to play a drop ball animation when tagging at home, resulting in a missed tag
Fixed an issue where a fielder’s substitution in Extra Innings caused the CPU to lose a runner
There are no changes in battle or gameplay balance in this update.
DIAMOND DYNASTY
Fixed a bug where the wrong uniform was displayed in Extra Innings
Fixed an issue where a user would do “Quick Sell” when trying to sell with Quick Actions now
ROAD TO THE SHOW
Fixed an issue where gear attributes were not applied in-game
Fixed an issue that prevented static earnings from archetypal missions
Fixed a bug where the user’s position for the next game was displayed as “Pinch Hitter”
The correct stats are now reflected in the Rookie of the Year award
Fixed an issue where a CPU outfielder would stop and not respond to an oncoming ball
The user will no longer be just a bank player when called up to the MLB
Fixed OSD text for RTTS championship wins to address minor league name changes

FRANCHISE
Fixed in-game saves for Custom Franchise and Stadium Creator
Fixed an issue that prevented eligible players who were off the injured list during the playoffs from being added to the playoff squad
STADIONS
Various updates for numerous stadiums, including lighting, dirt, nets, etc.
Great American Ballpark house and visitor bullpens have been swapped
STADIUM CREATOR
Various tweaks and improvements to Snap mode
Fixed an issue where the user was warned of a “Blank Canvas” when not using one
Various gag repairs
USER ENVIRONMENT
Fixed a bug that would reset the break timer indefinitely during the game
Moved the marketplace notification to the top right corner of the screen again to avoid overlapping stub and profile
The correct year is now displayed for player statistics in the Roster Update screen
Fixed an issue with the career stats ‘Hits Allowed’ on the Pitching Matchup loading screen
Inside Edge boosts for pitchers are now displayed above the appropriate Player Card attributes
Minor UI tweaks to the RTTS and Diamond Dynasty menus
