Resident Evil Village Guide – How to find the five bells in the workshop

Recent articles

By the time you reach the Atelier in Resident Evil Village we will be quite used to Castle Dimitrescu and its overly hospitable residents. Vampire Fly women stalk the halls, zombie vampire women stalk the shadows, and the tall lady isn’t very happy you are killing her daughters.

But once you are in this artist’s workshop, the action suddenly stops and you have to complete a hidden object to progress. “Let the five bells in this room ring” is a pretty obvious clue, but despite the room’s relatively small size, finding them to complete the puzzle can be tricky. This guide will show you exactly where to find these bells so you can go back to vampires shooting in the face and have your hands maimed by them in return.

The first bell in Resident Evil Village

The first bubble is very easy to find once you know what you are looking for. There is a large ornate bell on the table opposite the door you entered. This is the only one you can ring with your knife, so make sure to save your bullets for what’s to come.

The second bell in Resident Evil Village

Much smaller and more out of the way, you’ll find this bubble on top of the cabinet near the canvas that gave you this riddle. Use your gun to shoot the small instrument and you will see a small flame ignite above it to let you know you were successful. If you have trouble getting the shot, you can go up the stairs in the corner to get a better view.

The third bell in Resident Evil Village

When you first walked into this room you no doubt saw the holes in the wall filled with gears and pendulums and it’s probably no surprise that there is a bell hidden between the mechanism.

Look at the left side window and wait, you will see the swinging bell framed there at the top of its swing. This spot has the fewest obstacles and will linger there for a few seconds, so it’s the best chance you’ll shoot it with your gun. Again, a flame will ignite to let you know that you can stop firing.

The fourth bell in Resident Evil Village

Go up the pointless stairs in the corner of the room to find the last two. The first requires two shoots as it is currently covered by the chandelier. You can see the top of the dome peeping from behind the ironwork, so use your gun to shoot the metal and make it swing, giving you a chance to shoot the bell and start the fire.

The fifth bell in Resident Evil Village

You probably don’t even have to move to see the last bell, which is a bit of a trick. The designation clearly stated that the clocks are in ‘this room’, but the latter is not technically in the Atelier. Beyond the chandelier and out the window, you can see the last bell prominently displayed. Take one shot to break the window and another shot to ring the bell.

Now that all five bells have been found and hit, the giant painting of the giant Lady Dimitrescu opens to reveal a secret walkway.
