Star Wars reboot: ‘Henry Cavill in talks with Jon Favreau for Disney Plus role’

Recent articles

The future of Star Wars is still a complete mystery to fans. The final moments of The Rise of Skywalker let Rey Skywalker live her life, similar to how Luke Skywalker did in Return of the Jedi. Now-spotted Star Wars and Disney leaker Mike Zeroh has claimed the franchise will continue on Disney Plus with DC Comics and The Witcher star Henry Cavill in the foreground.

It’s important to note that Zeroh has made some claims about Star Wars in the past and not all of it came true. So everything he has said must be taken with a large grain of salt.

That said, Zeroh reports that the future of Star Wars will live on Disney Plus in a series of TV shows, similar to The Mandalorian and the upcoming Kenobi series.

One of these, Zeroh claims, will star Cavill after attending “meetings” with Star Wars boss Jon Favreau.

He told his subscribers this week, “It is described that Jon Favreau is making a big and exciting decision for the Star Wars universe moving forward for a brand new unknown project.”

Zeroh continued, “It is best to note that Jon Favreau has had multiple conversations and virtual encounters with actor Henry Cavill to take part in the Star Wars TV series for Disney Plus.

“It is currently unknown whether this new show will be in live-action or animated form, but Henry Cavill would be very interested in joining the Star Wars universe.”

The YouTuber went on to say that Cavill will have a “final meeting” with Favreau in June to “begin the recruitment process.”

Favreau’s interest in Cavill also reportedly came from his performance on the Netflix show The Witcher.

Zeroh continued: “[Favreau] thought it was a great source of inspiration for a character design that he will be introducing into the Star Wars canon. “

He also noted that Favreau believes Cavill “could be involved in more than one project if he can handle the task.”

No word has been given as to what this show is called, or when it would be released, but Zeroh says it will arrive on Disney Plus in “2023 or 2024”.

If any of Zeroh’s information is correct, it would mean Disney is bolstering their acting power for the upcoming Star Wars projects.

Cavill has long been a fan of science fiction and pop culture traits, which is why he was so invested in playing Superman.

The actor has spoken out before about wanting to get in on some franchise work, so jumping on Star Wars wouldn’t be out of the question.

Last month, Zeroh also said Marvel star Brie Larson would be coming to the Star Wars series, as well as a brand new Jedi warrior.

Rather than just being a different character, Larson’s heroine – Maeve – will presumably be even stronger than Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker “combined”.

Zeroh said of Maeve’s story: “[She] embarks on a journey to find an ancient Force force that is stronger than the light and dark side of the Force… Maeve is going to discover, obtain and learn about it in this new show.

[The series] will also include a brand new enemy from a brand new galaxy. Maeve’s newfound power is what the new enemy is looking for. “

Zeroh added, “Maeve will also have different levels of her own power that will evolve and be explored in the series.”

The Star Wars series is now available on Disney Plus.
