Forget PS Plus for now, Play at Home’s last free PS4 game is disappearing

Horizon Zero Dawn is still free to download (Image: SONY)

Even without a PlayStation Plus subscription, gamers were able to download some top PS4 games in April and May.

And thanks to Sony’s backward compatibility, the same titles can be claimed if you own a PlayStation 5 console.

But there is only a short time for gamers to claim Horizon Zero Dawn, with the end time set for May 14 in the United States and May 15 in the UK.

Gamers in the United States have until 8pm PDT today, and things will end on May 15th at 4am BST.

The free copy of Horizon Zero Dawn is the Complete Edition, which means it comes with a lot of added content, and Sony told fans this week:

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition can be downloaded for free between April 19, 8:00 PM PT / April 20, 4:00 AM BST / 5:00 AM BST and May 14, 8:00 PM Pacific Time / May 15, 4:00 AM BST / 5:00 AM CEST.

In an age when machines roam the land and humanity is no longer the dominant species, a young hunter named Aloy embarks on a journey to discover her fate.

In a lush, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization, chunks of humanity live on in primitive hunter-gatherer tribes. Their rule over the new wilderness has been usurped by the machines – terrifying mechanical beings of unknown origin.

Plus, expand the vibrant, post-apocalyptic world of Horizon Zero Dawn with this stunning new add-on in the Complete Edition.

In The Frozen Wilds, Aloy travels to the borderland of the survivalist Banuk tribe to investigate a mysterious new machine threat.

Only by enduring the harsh landscape and earning the Banuk’s respect will Aloy acquire the allies, skills and knowledge she needs to uncover a secret from the past – and stop a threat to the future. “

Sony has also announced that while this is the last free Play at Home game to download, they will be offering some in-game bonuses next week.

This includes XP tokens for Call of Duty Warzone, in addition to a number of other games that don’t require PS Plus.

This time around, Sony offers a selection of free in-game content and virtual currency for a number of popular PlayStation games, including Destruction AllStars, NBA 2K21, Rocket League and more.

The following in-game content and virtual currencies will be available for free via PlayStation Store from Monday, May 17 at 8:00 pm PDT (May 18, 4:00 am BST, 12:00 pm JST) to June 6, 11:59 pm PDT (7 Jun 7:59 PM PDT) BST, 3:59 PM JST):
