The long delayed Indiana Jones 5 has taken another step closer to production when Deadline reports that Boyd Holbrook (Logan) and Shaunette Renée Wilson (The inhabitant) to the cast.
Holbrook and Wilson will star alongside Harrison Ford, who will once again wear the hat and whip as Indiana Jones, as will Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Flea bag), Mad Mikkelsen (Hannibal) and Thomas Kretschmann (Avengers: Age of Ultron). This marks a reunion between Holbrook and director James Mangold after their work on Hugh Jackman’s latest outing as X-Men Wolverine in Logan. Who will play Holbrook and Wilson, like the rest of the newcomers to the franchise, will be kept hidden by Disney and Lucasfilm along with any plot details.
The only other information fans have is Mikkelsen’s excitement for the movie, as he spoke recently about reading the script and how the story was “ everything I wanted it to be. ”
Indiana Jones 5 will see director James Mangold Harrison Ford’s fifth and final appearance as the archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones with Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall as producers, while John Williams will re-compose the score. The film is currently scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
