Resident Evil Village was intended to be played in first-person mode, but one modder has allowed it to be played in third-person mode.
Modder FluffyQuack was the one who introduced this new PC mod for RE Village and it actually revealed something to the public: Ethan doesn’t actually have a head in the game. This makes sense because our protagonist is in first person view and was not intended to show his face. When seen in some way, it’s sort of a shadowy figure.
However, the mod is experimental and has a lot of bugs. While shooting, the character model would look the other way for some reason, the flashlight is in the wrong direction, and the camera would snap through walls.
The mud clarified that there is still a lot of work to be done on his small project. He has yet another mod where it replaces Ethan’s character model with Cassandra in the third person rendering. Somehow it works.
Resident Evil Village is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S.
