Numerous leaks about the supposedly upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake are circling online these days and this is one with some interesting details.
According to one Reddit user, he states that his source comes from a friend who hacked CAPCOM servers last year. He points out that he cannot prove these leaks are true, so take them all with a grain of salt. It has some interesting points that could potentially mean something. At least it’s not from 4chan (which is pretty unreliable these days):
For starters, the leaker says that CAPCOM is well aware of the leaks that are popping up on the internet these days. This can be a good or a bad thing as they can change their content later after reading all these cans to prove everyone wrong. It can get even better.
The game has been restarted because the original idea was just like the original with improved visuals. CAPCOM had a different idea, which was to do something unique with simple changes that could ‘improve the experience’. They also took the criticism they received from RE3 Remake to heart. (Thank God)
The developers supposedly call this “The Chainsaw Project” and Sony Interactive Entertainment offers a lot of PS5-timed exclusivities. We’ve had it here for 6 months to a year but this isn’t set in stone yet. This is also going to be a next-gen game only, which means that only PS5, Xbox Series X / S, and PC have super high demands.
Now for some juicy cuts. The leaker states that players can switch between first- and third-person camera, has a photo mode, a semi-open world, significantly longer and larger than the original, and many alternative skins and classic OST. Voice actors and face models of Leon, Ada, and Claire are used. Leon has an older appearance with a beard.
There is even a connection with the upcoming Netflix Infinite Darkness series as a post-credit scene.
The leaker has even revealed that one of the names considered to be the name of the next sequel in the series is Resident Evil Exit. Yeah, it looks weird, but listen to me. The I is in the E in Exit and the X, is literally X. So, IX, 9.
Again, take this with a grain of salt. CAPCOM has neither confirmed nor denied these allegedly Resident Evil 4 Remake leaks.
