Prepare for non-stop action to come Call of Duty: Warzone, Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Mobile in the mid-season update arriving tomorrow. The 80s Action Heroes event features two new Operators who also happen to be iconic action heroes, Die Hard’s John McClane and Rambo Rambo: First Blood Part II. In addition to these, there will also be temporary bundles and game modes. Meet the heroes in the new trailer below …
Both Legendary Operators are available from today through June 18 in the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Store. Available as part of the Rambo bundle, Rambo also includes two finishing moves (one of which is signature bow and arrow), three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, including an Assault Rifle, an LMG and Knife Blueprint, a Legendary Summoning Card and Emblem, and an Epic Watch and Charm .
The Die Hard bundle includes the Legendary Operator, a Finishing Move, three Legendary Weapon Blueprints, including a Tactical Rifle, an SMG and an Assault Rifle. It also includes a Legendary Phone Card and Emblem, Epic Watch, and Epic Weapon.
Not only have the heroes arrived in-game, some new locations from the movies have also appeared in Verdansk. Replacing the Broadcast Tower and surrounding blocks of Downtown’s southern district, there is now Die Hard’s Nakatomi Plaza. This location offers optional missions that can be completed during Battle Royale and Plunder, such as finding supply boxes and defusing an explosive on the roof.
Around Verdansk there are 10 campsites that have been converted into Survival Camps in tribute to Rambo: First Blood Part II. These allow the players to walk out with gear items and dog tags with the opportunity to get more rewards by collecting enough. Also from Rambo is an improvised CIA outpost.
In a new limited-time mode called Power Grab, 100 Operators in selected squads will compete for supremacy. Unlike traditional Battle Royale, the starting circle collapse is smaller and there is no gulag when players die. Instead, it’s up to teammates to revive them through a Buy Station or by collecting dog tags dropped by defeated opponents, into supply boxes, and also as a reward for completing contracts. Each Dog Tag collected also takes players a notch up the reward ladder.
Among the other additions with the update are a new Combat Bow Killstreak, the Ballistic Knife in Warzone, 2 new multiplayer maps in Black Ops Cold War, a Free-for-All mode called Rambo’s Gun Game, Die Hardpoint game mode, by hero inspired medals and more.
Zombies players are also not left out and can expect a new Main Quest, the Orda World Event and much more.
The new Operator Bundles are available from today in the Cold War and Warzone stores.
