Captain America 4 villain leak? Major Red Skull connection from Marvel Comics

Recent articles

Earlier this year, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier came to Disney+ and we finally saw Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson become the new Captain America. Shortly after, multiple outlets reported that a Captain America 4 starring a new Cap was in the works — though Marvel Studios has yet to confirm such a project. And now a supposed new leak reports who the villain of the big screen getaway will be; a certain person with a big Red Skull connection.

According to That Hashtag Show, Captain America 4’s villain will be Sintea Schmidt aka Sin.

In Marvel Comics, she is none other than Red Skull’s daughter who wants to restore HYDRA.

The outlet reports, “We have been informed exclusively that Sin will be re-evaluating the legacy of her father, Captain America (Steve Rogers), and Sam’s new role as Captain America.”

They also claim that Marvel has a script that has been rewritten. While the studio apparently wants an actress similar to Kate Mara for the casting of Sin.

Casting female villains is a new trend for Marvel following Agatha Harkness in WandaVision and a number of female antagonists in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

In the comics, Sin was conceived after Red Skull attempted to conceive a male heir with a laundress.

After she died in childbirth, he almost killed the child because he was angry it wasn’t a boy.

However, one of the villain’s followers, Susan Scarbo, convinced him not to and offered to raise her, which he agreed.

Scarbo indoctrinated Sin with the Red Skull’s worldview before the villain returned. He then accelerated his daughter’s aging in a special machine that turned her into an adult with superhuman powers.

Of course, the Red Skull in the MCU is still alive, having been transferred to Vormir by the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger.

There he became the Keeper of the Soul Stone and a ghostly figure of the villain he once was. On the deserted planet, he met Thanos who sacrificed Gamora for the Infinity gem in Avengers Infinity War.

In Avengers Endgame, he saw Black Widow sacrifice himself so that Hawkeye could get the Soul Stone.

Interestingly, at the end of the movie, Captain America himself returned the gems to their points in the timeline.

This means he would have encountered Red Skull on Vormir and was presumably shocked to find him there.

Sadly, this happened off-screen, but maybe one day Marvel will make a miniseries of Cap’s adventures through time to return the bricks.

And who knows, maybe this won’t be the last time we see Red Skull itself in the MCU.

A total of four MCU movies and six Marvel Disney+ shows will be released in 2021.

Next up is Loki on the streaming service in June, followed by the prequel film Black Widow in July.

While Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters in September, followed by Eternals in November and Spider-Man No Way Home in December.

Additionally, What If…?, Hawkeye and Ms Marvel will land on Disney+ later this year.
