Star Wars: Young Luke Skywalker ‘will be played by Spider-Man star’ in Disney Plus show

Recent articles

For the past year, Disney has remained silent about its plans for the next step in the Star Wars universe. The final episode of The Mandalorian season two reintroduced Luke Skywalker, played by a technologically aged Mark Hamill. Since the episode, rumors have suggested that a Skywalker TV series will debut on Disney Plus in the coming years with a number of actors lining up to play a younger version of the galactic hero.

Marvel star Sebastian Stan is the favorite to take over Hamill.

Hamill himself has even commented on how similar The Winter Soldier actor looks to his younger self.

However, the latest report from noted Disney and Star Wars leaker Mike Zeroh suggests that Stan isn’t the only Marvel star being watched for the Skywalker role, but he’s being followed by a former Spider-Man actor.

It is important to mention that Zeroh’s reports and predictions have not always been correct, so the information he provided should be taken with a large grain of salt.

In one of his latest videos, Zeroh said that Stan is still a strong choice for the role of Skywalker, but added: “Lucasfilm is said to have two backups. [actors] WHO [could] play the new young Luke on future projects.

Another is actor Tobey Maguire, who will appear in Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness.

Maguire played Peter Parker in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy that spanned from 2002 to 2007.

As Zeroh mentioned, the actor would also return in the outfit of the Web Head in the upcoming third Spider-Man movie, No Way Home.

Over the past six months, several outlets have reported that the third Tom Holland-fronted movie will kick off with the creation of a live-action Spider-Verse, which will see Maguire reappear in the series.

This film will follow in the footsteps of Sony’s 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Zeroh added that a third potential star is in the running for the Skywalker role, but he is an “actor unknown.”

The leaker also said that Maguire is only in the running because Stan “is asking too much money”. This is another claim from Zeroh that hasn’t been backed up yet.

Zeroh continued: “Disney has all eyes on Tobey [Maguire] become the new Luke as a backup using aging technology and make-up techniques that make him look like a young Mark Hamill from the original trilogy movies.”

No official word has been given as to whether a Skywalker show is on the way, but since Luke now has Grogu in his Jedi Academy, it would make sense to continue his story.

The YouTuber has also said that a collection of new TV shows would hit the streaming service to continue Rey Skywalker’s journey.

Rey was last seen in The Rise of Skywalker after defeating Emperor Palpatine.

Zeroh says Rey will return in animated form to protect her son Cade Skywalker.

Cade, the leaker says, will be conceived impeccably – similar to Anakin Skywalker – and possess a staggering amount of Force power.

The video’s creator added that Rey star Daisy Ridley had not yet been confirmed to return to the show.

The Star Wars saga is now available on Disney Plus.
