Now that production is now officially underway for Netflix’s series adaptation of the sandman, creator Neil Gaiman has clarified how much of the comic series will be covered in the first season.
In response to a fan on Twitter asking how much of the comics would be spoiled by the show, Gaiman replied, “The first season includes the first two graphic novels.” those two novels Preludes and nocturnes and The dollhouse, covers the first sixteen issues of the original 75-issue series.

the sandman follows “the adventures of Morpheus, lord of dreams and member of a pantheon of immortal beings called The Endless who personify certain universal concepts which, along with dream, include death, desire, destiny, delirium, despair, and destruction.”
