The Witcher star Henry Cavill has released a short teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of the Netflix fantasy series. Check it out below…
The Witcher follows Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher who roams the continent in pursuit of hired monsters and creatures. The first season, which premiered on Netflix in December 2019, concluded with the reunion of Geralt with Freya Allen’s Princess Ciri in the wake of her homeland’s demise. With Ciri still being hunted, Geralt’s job is to protect her and teach her how to use her mysterious power.
The highly anticipated second season began shooting in February 2020, but was quickly halted due to the ongoing global health crisis. Production later resumed in August 2020, but was delayed again after positive COVID-19 tests on set.
The Witcher wrapped production of the second season in April, but Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date yet. It’s probably based on this and the previous teaser for Ciri that we’ll get more character teases until a full trailer and find out when The Witcher will return.
