According to a new report, Hideo Kojima and game company Microsoft have both signed a letter of intent.
GamesBeat Reporter Jeff Grubb recently stated that Microsoft and Kojima signed the letter because they are both interested in working together. If certain criteria are met, they can proceed to complete this deal.
The report does not state that Microsoft will invest in Kojima Productions, but that it could do so later. The upcoming project will be cloud-based and is unlikely to fall apart at this point.
The goal of this partnership, Grubb says, is to unlock the creativity of Kojima Productions using Microsoft technology. This could lead to very interesting projects in the future.
There is no official confirmation from either side yet. Take this with a grain of salt for now.
